My parents never checked on my homework as they weren't the ones in school. They knew that my grades would reflect whether or not I was doing the work. We never check on our child's homework, either. We are always willing to look over our son's work if we are asked, but we aren't going to college with him, so he has to learn to do what it takes on his own.

Thankfully, no. My mother, believing me to be a an uber-responsible child, never checked it. I was responsible with all my classes but math. I never do math. So, I whiled away the hours and then minutes before I had to turn it in, I was rushing around trying to get the answers. I still haven't learned to do it on time.
Oh well. It's math.

Good question. You know, I don't recall. I think my mom ASSUMED I'd done my homework, but she never checked it. (And being a nerdy kid, I actually did do all my homework, including doing extra problems in math as I loved it so much.)

Nope. Never did. They would ask me if I had any and tell me to do it, but never checked to see if I had done it or not. Personally, I think that's overdoing it a bit.
