Don't forget holly, and amyriyis! Go to Hobby Lobby, or Michaels, or Old time Pottery. They have examples, and sell some of the arrangements.
My favorite is a Xmas lantern, with a arrangement of evergreen, pine cones, and berries around it. I had an artificial arrangement, in a long, low oval bowl, it had evergreen branches, and red velvet balls stuck in. Another was a round bowl, with the bowl filled with angel hair, and some evergreen arranged on top. There was a candle in the middle, and a soft body elf hanging onto the candle.
Hula is right, very popular to fill a a clear glass vase with cranberries, and stick in some red flowers. Very minimalist, and very pretty.

The Poinsettia is a great traditional Christmas time flower/plant.
I have had great success with arranging red roses with pine branch clippings and baby's breath.

what's an arraingement?

i assume it's some sort of walrus. so, i think that arranging christmas flowers in the shape of a walrus is blasphemous.
