I guess all publicity isn't good publicity. But come on when's the last time you heard the name Micheal Richards? I think he's a racist, to say stuff like that you have to think it. I mean when you are a comedian and someone heckeles you, you dont talk about his race, you to try to embarrass him or tell him to leave the club. You dont call him a name that has 500 yrs of bad history in it.
And his "apology" was the biggest load of bs I have ever seen. He obviously wasn't sorry. If he was sorry he would have personally apologized to the men he insulted, or gone on BET. But Jerry Seinfeld, always the classy one, scheduled for KKKramer to apologize on the Letterman show via satellite. Don't you think if he was really sorry, he would have scheduled an appearance himself? The only thing he's sorry for is being caught and having it on tape.
I guess now we know why there was never any black people on Seinfeld.

I didn't want to comment until I saw the tape and I was horrified! He obviously has some racist feelings and he really did blow his cap off. I believe he is sorry that he showed this side of himself, publicly. I don't believe he was sorry for what he said, honestly. But . . . people make mistakes. Hopefully, he'll keep his tyrade under wraps or only use them with other racist friends. Possibly he will rethink life and how the world is made up of wonderfully different cultures. As a comedian, he should be able to deal with a heckler and should have had a better comeback. Otherwise, stay off of the stage.

I think it was a marketing stunt. He is #1 for Yahoo searches 2 days in a row.

why would Jerry Seinfeld apologize for the remarks someone else made? It was just a TV show, he isn't the guys conscience.

Racist yes. Though there are open racists, and closet racists, he
appears to be a closet racist. Though he may have conscious
or subconscious racist thoghts or feelings, he may think that because "he" never personally wore a white robe or went to some white racist group meeting, he really isn't racist. But racism can be subtle at times, such as you thinking you are better than someone else because of your race. The telling line was the one he said about "Years ago......". Of course, as with any problem, you have to first realize you have a problem. It is fair to say that NOW he realizes he has a problem.

He certainly is. His racist rant was just a little too natural for me. The words just poured out of him. His behavior spoke to be something he does daily, something he believes daily. Yes he apologized, but it was not enough. He talked about being tied to a tree with a fork up their a**? What kinda crap is that? He owes the African-American community an apology an Americans period!

What I wonder is if the black men heckling him would have done the same to a black comedian.
