Unless it's a CD-RW, you can't.
And if it is, you can over write it like you over write anything in Windows.

if it's a CD-RW you can re-write over it. if it's just a CD-R you can re-write on it. Because it finalizes itself. Therefore you can put anythign on it. even though there is more room on it. If you write somethign on it and take it out of the burner. consider it done!

IF ITS A CD-RW GO TO WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER AND GOT BURN AND CLICK THE ERASE A CD THING OR GO TO REAL PLAYER AND CLICK THE TIME THATS LETS YOU IF YOU WANNA BURN A CD....IF ITS NOT A CD-RW YOU CAN ERASE IT...
