I loved Lost Highway, but just wondering about some other choices and why.

"Wild at Heart" and "Blue Velvet". Both are wonderfully weird, but they also have a standard plot and are relatively understandable. The characters are likeable in these movies. In some of the other movies, it is hard to even know who is who, they seem to morph into other characters, but that is David Lynch's intention. He is one of my favorite directors, and I am amazed by all his movies. My wife, among many others, hates his movies because they are not linnear, or in synch like most movies. "Blue Velvet" would be my choice for you to see, since it is always 'under the radar'. I love it.

Lost Highway - An amazing movie experience; Slow and rapid events. Images that don't make sense. Fantasy. Horror. Surrealism. Symbolism. All part of a long dream, that I doubt anyone can decipher, including Mr Lynch.

Mulholland Dr.- mulholland drive will haunt you, Dream & Reality; love lynch, or hate lynch, admit he's a master!

I have to go with "The Elephant Man". Though, I also loved "Wild At Heart".

I like the fact that most of his movies don't follow the typical movie format. They're non-linear, the music by Angelo Badelemente is always inspiring, and his films are shot so thoughtfully. Every frame has purpose.

David Lynch is too far out there. I'm afraid I don't get his movies. I tried to watch Twin Peaks and I got through most of it but that backward talking stuff completely confused me.

Dune - 1984, and Mulholland Dr. - 2001, both great films from David Lynch, though I prefer Dune......its one of my all time favs., especially the Directors Cut.

Lost Highway is ridiculous. I saw that in the theatre and had no idea what was going on.
He did the Twin Peaks movie, right? I'd go with that one.
