Right now you would have to say Roberto Clemente, but in a few years or more, the answer could change to either Albert Pujols or Alex Rodriguez.

Roberto Walker Clemente without a doubt, he was the total package he could throw, run, hit and had the best baseball instincts of any player in his time and most important of all he had a great human quality and compassion for others along with all that talent.

Roberto Clemente, for sure. He reached 3,000 hits at a young age, had a cannon for an arm in right field, and had great speed and contact. There was even one play where a batter dumped a single into right field, and Clemente picked it up and threw the batter out at first. No doubt he would have had more successful seasons and built up his already impressive credentials even more had he not perished in the Nicaragua plane accident. It was sad to see such a great person and a great player go like that.

In can't just name one... it is to broad of a search since every player has come and left they thumbnails in the game... however the first one to come out and gave my attention as a Hispanic child is Roberto Clemente, for everything he did inside and outside the ring, he will always be one of the best to ever play or to come out of the diamond.

Of all time up to now I would have to say Roberto Clemente - Hands down. The jury is still out on Alex Rodriguez. If he gets his act together next year and beyond his numbers could be all time.

Roberto Clemente, by far.
His predecessor (Hispanic) in the Hall of Fame, Lefty Gomez has some pretty sick numbers. 20 game winner, solid career ERA...

Dying for a good cause does not make you a better ballplayer. Of course I respect him, along with every other baseball fan in the world. But he still is the best for now, until Pujols enters his prime (He is still a youngin, imagine how he will be in 3 years!)
