No you can't alter a timeline, time doesn't exist. Time is only a means of denoting position as it changes. You can't cheat death, because no one really dies, our energy continues on into the universe in many different forms. Some of our energy remains with the body (until it is gone) and some remains as memories in the minds of those that saw, heard, smelt, felt, and tasted us. The majority of our energy will go on in most cases. Those that think there is nothing after death will dissapate into nothingness and their energy will be consumed by the rest of the universe. For the unimaginative and unenlightened minds that only believe in one single thing (Science, Christianity, Islam, Buddism, Taoism, Wicca, Nature, Norse Gods, Greek Gods, Spirit Guides, etc.) they will be unable to grasp the true unlimited nature of the universe and spend most of their existance in chaos and have difficulty learning. The few of us that are enlightend enough to understand the countless possibilities of the universe and recognize its true nature will continue to evolve and be able to learn more, surpassing those that fail to understand.

Your days are numbered...like the hairs on your head...and only God knows when its your time. So...no you cant cheat death...when God says its time its time...
