Dispite the advertisement, no it will not unless you are at full throttle and even then, very little if any....
Any additional air coming into the intake will also be accompanied by the proper amount of gas, which will cause you to lift your foot from the gas pedal.
Therefore, you will not get any benefit under most usual driving conditions.

I don't think it would make a SIGNIFICANT difference but definitely a difference. To make a significant difference I think you would need to have something done to the heads and the injection system too. I don't know if 88 models had them but you can look into a performance computer chip to see if one is available for your model.

a air intake, Cool air intake will add like 2-3 hp, to get more hp ull need bigger intake manifold but it not that much more hp

No, only at Wide Open Throttle and even then hardly at all. Also, if the filter is exposed to air, washing your engine compartment can ruin your engine. Been there, done that, bad idea.

maybe 1-10hp, but is it worth loosing the same in torque
if your motor is cruddy it will reduce it
there is alot better things you can spend that 100 bucks on(upgrade fuel system and ignition)
