I put this up in another category but more eyes need to see this.

I came across an article in yesterday's newspaper.
there is a terrible tradition in Japan - the Dolphin Drive "in which thousands of bottlenose dolphins are herded into shallow coves to be slaughtered with knives and clubs" some of which are very slow, sickening deaths. I saw a couple of YouTube videos and it's terrible the way the intelligent, gentle creatures are mercilessly slaughtered.
Already 15-16,000 have been killed this year and as many as 21,000 are going to perish. We need to help these mammals. There is a petition at www.actfordolphins.org and their goal is 1 million signatures. Last I checked there was 71,000+

That is just awful. Those people are sick, and I honestly don't know how some people can be so cruel and heartless. Thank you for helping getting this out in the open so more people can help. I will go to that site to sign that petition ASAP, and let more people know. I hope all who see your question do the same thing.

To M: this question has nothing to do with human "casualties", just their cruelty.
Answer disregarded to you. >:-P

Dolphins are in a way our closest relatives of the sea. I suppose some people would eat their cousins if other food was in short supply, but I'd as soon cook and eat the heartless person that kills the dolphins for that purpose than kill and eat these creatures that would never do the same to us.

Sorry, but I think that human casualties across the globe are more important.
