Knowing what I know now, I might talk to someone I trusted about it. I really hope this isn't happening to you but it must be or you wouldn't be asking this question. My dad was sometimes pretty hard on me physically when I was little and I remember not only the physical pain of it all but worse, the humiliation, shame and anger(rage) of it all. It's crazy and it follows you around the rest of your life. Yes, I think you should confide in someone about it.

You know, my dad was a great guy and I miss him very much. I loved him so and wish he were still around. He was just very strict and brought up by a very strict father as well. He mellowed with age and later felt bad about my struggles with depression/anxiety and anger.

I'll always love my dad and have fond memories of him. I long for the day when we'll be reunited in heaven and all the tears will be wiped away.

well what did you do to deserve it, if he beats you for no good reason and wehn you think of that think of it as a parent not a kid thinking "i didn't do anything" cuz did you tell him to funk off or was mean to a brother or sister, and what do you mean by beat did he punch you or just spank you, there is a diff, i was spanked by my dad all the time and looking back i deserved ever bit of it, now adayz kids ahve no respect for any one or anything and when a parent goes to spank them kids threaten to call child services so parents are afraid to diapline there kids, if you desverd it then well let it go and do'nt do it again

my step father used to beat me until one day i hit him back he's never touched me again, but this does not aways work to be on the safe side tell someone you trust who have "power" in your family/friends/job anyone.... if they don't listen/believe you go to the cops. (it really depends on how young you are and if there is visible evidence whether or not the cops can help, but don't get purposely hit just to have proof) you need to tell someone before he REALLY hurts you permanently

if you are under 18, I would contact an adult who you can trust or I would contact DSS. Is he beating you like...spanking? Or just throwing punches like you are an equal instead of his own child? actually, regardless, he should be better with his temper. seek help honey! good luck!

OMG, that is terrible. Go to your school counselor. The truth is, just about nobody does that for punishment anymore. Go to another adult that you trust if that don't work.

I would tell him, to see what was he doing and i would't do nothing because i know that my dad loves me and he would not do that.He would do if i did something bad or if he was drunk.
