As IE7 has nothing built into it for reading or opening PDF files, the error is not coming from IE7, but from whatever software you have loaded for opening PDF files. Usually that is Adobe PDF Reader. Reinstall the Adobe Reader (from http://adobe.com) and it should fix the issue.
