Follow the ant line to its source.Could be floor crack, window etc, Form a temporary barrier with laundry detergent in powder form. Remove any food etc that they have attacked, discard in garbage bag outside the house. At the entrance to you home,( doors) put down boric acid powder( not if you have pets). Also Powdered ajax/vim
can work too. spread it thick at ground level.
You can also use Cayenne pepper.
Wash the area where they have left a trail with dishwashing liquid and hot water.
If they are coming in windows, you need to caulk area, temporary you can use petroleum jelly over the cracks.
Make sure there are no tree branches leaning on your house. For permanently getting rid of them you have to use ant traps that contain boric acid. Only do this if the other methods fail as they are beneficial in gardens; hope this helps!!

I was going to say use ant spray because that stuff really works and it also discourages them from coming back. If there is any way your baby can sleep in another room for one night, I still think that a can of Raid would work best.

However, if that's not an option, you could try tempting the ants with some sugar or other food source placed close to their trail, then keep moving the food source until the ant trail goes somewhere else, preferably outside.

Third option is to just pick up the ants with a wet sponge soaked in soap and water. If you can clean off the pheromones that they leave on the floor for other ants to follow, eventually the ants will become confused about the ant trail and where it leads.

Good luck.

Is there a window in your babys room? If so go outside to the window and look to see if there is a trail going in that way. Then spray where the ant trail is (Raid ant & roach killer's the best). If you don't see where they're comming in look all around siding, ect. Other than that you might just move baby out for a night or two, & spray window sills, floor ect, where they are, wash down with soapy water.

I know this will probably sound silly, but we tried everything, our little ants liked it around our sink, no matter what we used they would still come back, the ant spray worked for awhile, but then there would be more marching in, I watched to see where they were coming in, and I rubbed Vaseline on the cracks that they were coming in, and of course their little bodies could not make it through the Vaseline.
Haven't seen one since.
I know some people use Boric acid, but if you have small children or pets around it is not advisable.

just clean normally inside, no sprays, spray on the outside of the house and place some food(jellies-sweets) elseware on the property, the scouts will find it eventually and all will go there and create a mound. when you have a million or so ants, just pour a lil diesel on the pile and it'll do em in and you and your beautiful baby can live in peace.

remember always that ants are here to stay and will always be around, you just have to give them something else to interest them instead of your kitchen area and droppings.

its a constant.

Ants become a nuisance when they enter homes. Instead of spending money on costly pest control, you can get rid of ants by removing the food source and using soap water.

Your best bet is just really ant spray. You can spray the room and leave for the day. That usually works for me. Good luck

For the outside they use Ammonia and they pour it into the ant holes, Maybe you can wash the floors with water and ammonia. It might help i bucket of water to 1/2 cup of ammonia.

Try a cedar-based ant spray, they are safer than the old style sprays and usually available at grocery/hardware stores
