Many children 12 and under have jobs... do you think all the child actors and actresses on TV and the movies work for free? Many young people work as models as well. Plus, if you decide to make crafts or build things people want, nothing prevents you from going into your own business. Why not create your own job and work for yourself? Most millionaires in this country are self-employed.

Becuase 12 years old aren't very mature. that is the law. You have to wait until 16. Most employers think 12 years old are still a child.

It depends on your state. In Washington state if you can obtain a work permit(And you can find someone who will actually hire you) you can start working at fourteen.
