Certain colors leave a yellowish stain on nails. This does not happen to everyone and can be prevented by putting a clear base coat on before painting nails.

Yes, it can stain the finger nails if left on for a long time. There is a base coat I think it is called "Yellow Out" or something like that. You put it on before your polish and it keeps the nails form yellowing.

Hi!

Some brands contain less expensive chemicals that can stain your nails a yellow or orange color. I remember Wet N Wild had an issue with this awhile ago, but I believe they changed their formula.

Just because a brand might cost more doesn't mean they might not be using a few cheaper chemicals, so if you notice some yellow stain on your nails, avoid that brand for awhile.

Happy ending: The stained nail will grow out, so no worries to anyone with this problem.

i'm uncertain approximately dark pinks, yet while i exploit black or dark purples it does turn my nails yellow. And it in many circumstances takes a on a similar time as for the yellow to bypass away. attempt utilising an under-coat polish first and then persist with the definitely colour. it is going to help shop the nail fit. For definitely breaking and vulnerable nails that's recommended to purchase some nail polish that should keep away from them from braking. i admire sally hansons sort for that kinda stuff. stable success [[:

Certain dyes used in the coloring of nail polishes can make your nails appear yellow.

Sometimes, it just depends.
But it's happened to me before, and it was pretty disgusting.
The thing that really matters is if it's cheap nailpolish or the good kind, because the cheap stuff that I buy at walmart, always turns my nails yellow, especially if I leave it on for along time. That's why I try using more OPI & name brand stuff, but yes, it's happened before & its true.
