Actually everything DOES work it, just not always how we wanted it to. But if you look back at your life you can usually see how when something went a different direction that what we had hoped, something better came because of the direction it took.
I understand that you are a realist, but you can be a realist AND an optimist!

Don't fret... It will all work out!
OK, seriously, I don't quite understand where you're going with your question. No, you never REALLY know what's going to happen next, but most people have a remarkable ability to "roll with the punches" and make lemonade out of lemons. So, things usually work out in this sense. As far as the truth goes... What seems "true" to one is false for another (religion for example). I agree about being realistic; I try to be realistic most of the time. But then again, being too realistic leads to being cynical and unhappy: after all, at the end we're all gonna die and get consumed by enzymes and bacteria. There's a balance in everything; scientific research indicates that a helping of self-delusion leads to increased happiness. And don't we all want to be happy?

Humans are imperfect, but they have the ability to realize perfection. Therefore, perfection is the pinnacle to which we strive to achieve. However, it is impossible. But,once we accept that our lives will be riddled with problems and darkness, we can learn how to deal with problems as they arise. One can be a realist while realizing that there are shreds of light in complete darkness; you just have to know how to find that light. In south Texas, there are birds that sing in complete darkness, right before the sunrises, these birds can see the first shred of light that is still not visible to humans eyes. It is a beautiful thing when you think about it. You have to learn to sing in what appears to be darkness.
When revealing truth others you must realize that it is difficult for people to accept their situation, weather circumstances are self made or by chance, so we lie to ourselves. Once those shortfalls are exposed, we are either in denial or caught off guard.
The secret to telling someone the hard, cold truth is to do it with finesse. Reveal the truth to them in a gentle, slow way, possibly using a story or analogy to illustrate the issue. Once they think about it, they will then realize the point of the illustration and a seed is planted. People do not respond well to abrasive critique or analysis regardless of how true it is.

I have no problem with plain truth, and I am a person, so your question is obviously invalid. Now, if you were to ask why SOME people have a problem with plain truth, I would answer that there are a variety of reasons, including manners, people-pleasing issues, idiots, etc.
If it makes you feel better, I don't think it'll work out for you. (Is that the answer you were looking for? Depending on perspective, everything that's not death, is working out...)

there are questions that only life itself gives answers to - it's true that people tend to avoid answering clearly to some questions - sometimes thay just don't know and that's difficult to admit - I think it's a matter of one's vanity. Sometimes it's best to take some time thinking things over and trying not to bother yourself too much if you don't see an answer straight away. The morning is always smarter than evening.

I like to look about both sides of things. if someone says i think my husband is cheating, i may say if you think he is, then you are right or you may think that because you are insecure. depends on the person and how much you want to help them or tell them what they want to hear. Most things are not set in stone so there is still hope to have a great outcome like finding that special someone ...... WINK

Plain truth? I don't have a problem with plain truth, at least how it applies to my situation. But MY truth may not be someone else's truth and this is because everyone is different with different experiences. What I do have a problem with are people who state their opinions as if it were facts.

Sometimes hearing the truth is PAINFUL.
A person who can deal with the truth ,usually is intelligent and wise .
They have a strong sense of self and are not afraid to deal with problems .It makes one a stronger person if you can accept that not everything in life is happy and carefree.
A person who can accept the truth is someone who should be proud of themselves .

Things don't always work out the way you want them too. It's true. But most people learn to accept their life the way that it is. I doubt that a lot of people are truly happy, but many are content. I tend to be more optimistic about other people's lives than I am about my own.

Well, looks like you've already answered your own question. They don't know the answer but feel they need to say something, anything. It's just their opinion. Take it or leave it.
