I've just read on yahoo news that aids is growing in uk, i've been in zim 4 eight months and i know 8 peole that have died from it, and if u go to swazi you'll hear much worse horror stories, how many lives does it take to realise that iraq is not an issue, instead of ending lives why not save some,

does it not piss anyone else of when people say can you speak english please? f*ck i put one letter wrong! why the f*ck do they take their time if they're not being constructive,

Robespierre, thanks for your comment but fact of the matter is, more people die of malaria than aids, and you can protect against malaria but in actual fact it's against arfican culture to wear a condom, or to just have one wife, how do you deal with that?

Well I think Iraq is an issue (in that the US and UK have completely f*cked the country over for no good reason, and refuse to apologise or even admit responsibility).

However, I take your point.

Even a fraction of the US "defence" (attack?) budget would save millions of lives in Africa every year.

Yes, there are a lot of us who realize the war is HIV/AIDS, hunger, awful drinking water, no health care, no money or medications for third world populations. It breaks my heart every time I read an article or see some of those awful pictures....But genocide is right up there to. What happened in Ruwanda, Germany, and now in Africa, what is one person to do? I ask myself all the time, what can I do? Where can I go to help? I don't know the answer to this or the bigger problems. The one that comes to mind is get rid of President Bush, Get out of Iraq, raise more consiouness in our own country (USA) about the plights of others, but also those at home, ie the homeless, the hungry, the uneducated, those who still do not use protection and have illicit sex. God Help Us All........

If people insist on having unprotected sex what do they expect? I realise that condoms can break but come on use protection and stop the sllleping around then you would see a difference. The world needs to wake up and stop at one clean partner thats the only way it would be eradicated even though it will never happen cos humans cant stay together anymore they have to hop into lots of beds and then wonder why they catch stds.

Oh I so agree with you. Until last year I lived in South Africa where 5000 people a day are being infected with HIV - There, on TV and radio, in Newspapers and magazines, roadside hoardings, sides of buses, everywhere, there are adverts about safe sex and using a condom. I have been in the UK for 20 months now and apart from the same article on Yahoo I have not seen ONE advert or media article here about using condoms for safe sex. No wonder so many people here, and not just gays and African immigrants, are being infected. Don't they knows that there is NO CURE for HIV/AIDS yet?
