I have this friend that I've known for about four years and I'm starting to think that he's gay. We always go out to lunch together during school and we spend alot of time together, but sometimes he acts a little gay. I've never seen him check out any girls before but I've never seen him check out any guys before either. He did tell me that he slept in the same bed with one of my other friends, but that's all he told me and he's never had a girl friend before. We're best friends and I don't want to ruin out relationship by asking if he's gay. Are there any signs I can look for to tell if he's gay? Please help.

Being a friend is all that should matter, altho i wont be unrealistic and say that it doesnt matter at all.
If you find that curiosity gets the better of you, then at least try asking about sex life in general, and how he feels about his future love life and/or where its headed.
Just dont delve into the subject if you already feel that a certain answer will break the friendship.
That would make you a bad friend if so :(

Why does it Matter? He is your best friend. He must have many qualities you like so focus on them. IF he is gay and IF he ever makes a pass at you just say no if you are not interested. From your brief description of his actions he is mature enough to accept that. Relax and enjoy a good friendship. True friendship is when people share the things they can and allow the other(s) to have parts of their life you cannot enter into. BOTH must have that attitude for it to be friendship. Is he worried you might be heterosexual?

If you guys are really good friends, he will tell you if he's gay when he is ready to. Also, if you guys are close, you should also be able to ask him without him getting so upset. IF he is gay, maybe he is the type that tells only when asked...and if no one ever asks him, then he will never tell anyone...

There are no signs. Some of the least thought of to be gay men out htere are gay, some of the "prissy" guys are attracted to women.

if you like the dude (not sexually) then give it up. either he is your friend or he is not. if the gay thing has you so uptight then maybe your beyond help and you should never talk to him again... otherwise just let him be him and you be you and if he is gay then maybe he will tell you someday. friends should never judge friends

if you really are friends then asking him won't ruin yr friendship. just ask? i guess the next question is and how will you be with the answer?

If he is gay, would that change your feelings towards him? If your answer is yes, then you aren't his best friend.

what it matter if he's gay - why do U care? he's your friend, your buddy - is what matters.
Leave him alone & don't ask him. God loves him and you must also.

If you're really friends, you can talk to him about it in a non-threatening, non-judgemental way, and he'll respect that.

There are no "signs."
Just accept your friend as your friend. Sexual orientation has nothing to do with it.
