why one need of marry? give me genuine reason...

I personally have never understood the reason of marriage. I suppose if you are going to raise children together, than the legal matter comes in to play. What amuses me is that men always think women want to get married. If women do, it is only because they have listened to society tell them where a women's place should be. I believe that men get a lot more out of marriage than women do. I believe that marriage was originally invented by men to acquire land and property. Women should highly question the reason they are seeking marriage. Unfortunately, according to a recent survey, many women just want a big wedding. Relationships can endure with love, respect and trust without a piece of paper that attempts to prove ownership of one another.

I agree with danaluana.

Marriage ends up penalizing the female. Divorce favors the male. (Not to say it doesn't happen the other way sometimes. Generally speaking.) I think women are taking more account of what the implications of broken marriage are financially. And chosing not to go there. We are becoming a matriarchal society. I recently read that the highest percentage of sales of homes recently was to single women.

Personally, the financial liason with my ex has been lethal for the last 20 years. And he's been gone eight. I think this next generation, who survived this weird twist of finances, is so much the wiser. Or at least, so I would hope.

No one "needs" to marry... It's one's personal choice. Some people are better off single.

It gives a legal legitimacy to the children and allows for decisions to be made by one if the other is unable to do so.

Who said one needs to marry.
I don't believe that it is a need at all!
It's a choice, not a need.
