A HAMSTER LIVES A SHORT, but very ACTIVE LIFE

Life span =only 18 months to 2 years maximum

But in that short life ,they pack an enourmouse amount of fun !!
whirling around on thier wheel , running in and out of tubes climbing up their cage , making thier nessts , eating and sleeping too .
To keep your hamster in good health, through his short life
you need to study, a good helpful manual on their care .
also join a local hamster club if you can , you will get lots of good first hand advice;

You did not say whether your hammy was;
a Syrian ( teddy bear ) hamster
or a Dwarf ( Russian ) hamster
they have different care issues

here are some sites that will be helpful ,

good luck

Hamsters only live 2-3 years. If your's are dying at less than 2 years take a good look at the care you are providing. There are some very good websites and books out there.

They should be living for about 2 years, if all of them tend to die much sooner than that, they may not be getting the best care. And by that I mean, their cages may not be changed often enough, or you might be using cedar bedding which is terrible for their lungs. If you think you are taking good care of them and their deaths are really hurtful to you, maybe it would be best if you get an animal with a longer lifespan.

My condolences to your hamsters. Make sure your water isn't toxic, or perhaps you should keep them separate form each other because they hate one another. If they are separate, maybe they are lonely and you should try putting them together. It all depends.
