I'm taking art class but my drawing is still not good

I am still waiting until second semester to finally take art, but I'm already good at drawing. It's in my blood. My mom is like an artist, kinda. She's good at painting and stuff, but art isn't her occupation or anything. I don't think you can be horrible at drawing and ever get very good. You just have to have the skill.

I cannot draw people, animals, still life stuff.
I can doodle and I do some pretty cool geometric stuff.
So I don't want to say that I cannot draw because there are all sorts of things that are considered "art".

I love to draw, I've been told I'm pretty good. I'm completely addicted to Yahoo! graffiti. My mom is an artist so I guess I'm genetically pre-disposed. It takes a lot of practice, just keep at it and you'll continue to get better and better. Good luck!!

i am not a natural talent (translation lousy at it except stick figures). but i read a book that said if you turn the photo or object upside down to draw it you do better because you are not critiquing yourself. and it was true. of course what i like to draw are trees and animals and they are not inclined to stand on their heads, but i guess i could though. worth a try.

I think Im ok. Dont worry, It takes time and patience to get the effects that you want. I have to have 100% concentration too. Good luck!

I can't draw a straight line with a ruler, so no I can't draw.

No I am pretty bad at it but I like to pretend I am not.... but that probably wouldn't work in your case.
