As part of the big tobacco settlement, they contributed to an organization called "The American Legacy Foundation". So, technically Phillip Morris isn't running the campaign, but their contribution to ALF supports the campaign.

Strange. Is there anyone who still does not know that smoking will kill you or shorten your life? The tobacco companies sold their products for years under some false information. They did that with the blessing of the government because the tax revenues were so good.

Now they are required to fund stop smoking campaigns and to give billions of dollars to states who have squandered it.

They have been ordered to run it because of things they did in the past. Of course, they capitalize on it by having their name all over and looking like "the good guys" and we know they aren't. They are a big tobacco business that is in business to make profit.

Best Wishes,

Sue
