It is for a GPS application. Is it big enough ?

1280 x 800 is not a computer monitor size, it's a display resolution - the amount of pixels displayed on the screen at the time.

you cannot work out a physical size from it.

although 1280 x 800 is a healthy resolution which has the potential to display lots of detail on-screen it all comes down to what the PHYSICAL size of the screen is.

that's the pixel factors in line with inch, that's no longer the size of the demonstrate screen and confident 1200X800 is dazzling for a GPS, i take advantage of a Pocket workstation with a GPS and MS street and holiday and the demonstrate is 640X220 and that i haven't any problem seeing or utilizing it....
