I've heard recently that having abs is a genectic trait. That some people who work extra hard in getting abs just can't fo it. Does anybody know??

Everyone gottem!! Most people have them covered in fat layers. If you don't train them they will stay hidden. Genetics will only dictate how hard you have to work vs. another person as well as how high your metabolism is which all can be affected by what you do.

Some are genetic trait, like smart parents usually give birth to smart children... Athletic children from a family history of being fit..

But you can still get well defined abs, its mostly how you eat and exercise.. Eating crap and working out 24/7 isnt going to get you abs at all.. You have to eat RIGHT veggies, fruits, no excess carbs and calories and you can get abs... But no pain no gain, if there is pain you can't handle then see a doctor..

Everyone has abs...they are just in different stages of muscular strength and under varying layers of fat.

A sensible diet and strength training routine will help bring them out.
