Some people believe that african americans in america are rude and disruptive and maintain no manners in public. This question is steming from the Michael richards incident this past week, were he was annoyed with and exploded on two african american patrons who he says were acting rude, loud and disruptive during his comedy routine. He definetly should not have called them N#@! or made any racial comment but I noticed that some people today often say that african americans are loud and disruptive at movie theaters, resturaunts, and other public events. Obviously im not talking about an entire race but in general as a community. does any one else notice this?

Some African Americans are rude and disorderly. Some of the teenagers in high school can be rowdy, but I wouldn't limit rudeness to just the African Americans.

Some African Americans do have a tendency do be loud and be a little rude and disruptive at times, but that is just them. Not all African Americans are rude and disorderly, it really and truly depends on their social background and life

I'm black and my answer is yes, there are loud blacks and it gets on my nerves. And No, not all blacks are like that as you stated above. I dont associate myself with anyone who cannot conduct themselves in public. I stopped going to the movie theaters because of rude loud individuals. I've switched resturants etc just so I can enjoy my meal and company in peace. It gets old it's embarrassing and it needs to stop. There are proper ways to express yourself. There is nothing wrong in having a good time but you still have to keep in mind the respect of others. I don't agree with him using the "n" word but I understand his rage. Good question.

Yes. (some). So are Whites, Latinos, Asians, Eskimos, Indians, Men, Women, Children, Old People, Young People, and purple-skinned people (some).

The way Micheal Richards should have dealt with it is the way I heard the famous comedian Red Fox did. He said approximately "just keep going, I don't mind if we BOTH make fools out of ourselves, cuz I'm the one who will wind up with all the money".

Ya know it really is not a question of color. It is a question of inteligence in people. If you are white black yellow tan or red and decent, and a couple of people of the same skin color as you do something like that, why should it reflect on you?
People are people, some good some bad and color does not matter.

i just moved to a big city and noticed that people as a whole have this sense of "entitlement" like they are owed something by someone else. Due to this attitude, there is a total disregard to others around them which leads to a state of oblivion.if everyone was more aware and caring of others, there would be no race questions or problems.

yes i've noticed this and that sort of behavior sometimes makes me ashamed of my race for not showing everyone they are better than that and for for fueling the on going generlizations made by others on us. but there's a group in every race that acts this way so i've come to think it's either b/c their parents didn't raise them with good manners, they took those learned manners and said fu(k it, or they just like to be seen.
