I know the movie is animated and the penguns are animated, but the people in the movie (like the ones that are looking at him when he's at the zoo) look so real, it doesn't seem possible for them to be animated!!

Yahoo movies has a great clip about the making of Happy Feet and shows how they videotaped Sauvigion Glover (the original happy footer) and transformed him into an animated penguin--good stuff! :)

They are animated. Which makes me agree to most of the critics that Happy Feet is one of the most impressive CGI movies of 2006.

I loved that movie!
The people in it are actually live action. The mix of live and animated elements made the movie very interesting artistically. Very very cool!
