What is spotting?? (speaking in period terms)

I think I just got my 1st period, so, any advice??

spotting is a term for bloody discharge. If you haven't started menstruating yet, or are between periods and you notice a little reddish or brownish spot (or spots) in your underwear, this is known as spotting and it is very natural. If you are in pain or are bleeding heavily (more than a normal period) see a doctor. Otherwise, welcome to womanhood m'dear.

Very light bleeding that often happens in the early part of a period or the end. It can also happen during pregnancy and can be quite normal, as long as it's just spotting and not heavy bleeding while pregnant.

spotting is just when you have a small amount of blood, usually right before or after your period or sometimes even in the middle of the month.....just leaves a little spot, hence the term spotting.

This means you are not flowing you only have spots of blood. Some women spot after their period.

i think u got ur 1st period because i m 13 and when i was 12 i got my first period and i spotted to so im sure u got ur 1st period,

Spots of blood that isn't your period coming from where your period comes from. If you're pregnant or if it's happening regularly you should chat to your doctor.

very light periods, where you are bleeding so little, yet there are small spots of blood, normally bright red, in your underware or pad.
Also stands for if you are going to the bathroom and wipe to find small amounts of blood on tissue.

It's a little bit of bleeding, not heavy enough to call a period. If you're pregnant, you should probably tell your doctor.

a small amount of bleeding. Not the amount of a menstrual period. And this small amount of bleeding does not necessarily mean anything. It can happen for any number of reasons...

its light bleeding, u can get this b4 ur period or after rough sex...
