I am due for an upgrade and need a good durable long-lasting phone that I can use even when I'm at my ski resort job. My current phone is pretty spotty and often completely loses reception even when others can use theirs.

To answer your question correctly, it depends upon the area you live.

Some rural areas require a tri-mode (analog, digital, pcs) phone. What that means in layman's terms is digital, data areas, and old backup system.

Majority of the US (95%) is all digital. Therefore, a newer model with camera since better chips involved is best. For rural area usage, tri-mode cell phones like the Motorola V 325 or LG VX 5300 are your options.

Otherwise, the chocolate (the best reception from my perspective), KRZR (the best stats for battery), or the Samsung A990 (the best camera & video capture with tv playback) are the ideal choice.

Att gets reception purely approximately everywhere. Nokia telephones are the final reception telephones. Blackberry and sony ericsson are wonderful for reception additionally. And spend the extra 2 hundred dollars for a vehicle kit, so he could have his calls flow via the stereo audio equipment. (a good bluetooth is around eighty-a hundred besides)
