What do you think, it is always fun to talk about bands with beginner level skill, but who sell thousands of records. Gotta love to hate our image driven music industry.
I'm going to go hands-down nickelback wins it. I've seen middle school bands with more talent at all instruments.
Hinder is not far behind, although they do have some intermediate stuff, their drum and bass lines are a joke. Solos are based on unoriginal scales and are fairly easy to play for any intermediate.
What do you guys think?

Just to play metal music in the traditional sense you have to be decent at your instrument. Odd time signatures, fast tempos, modulation like crazy, you wont find many pathetic metal bands, not as fun to make fun of them.

there is a few stable and undesirable music each type, each era. There are some purists who will say that rock grew to become into lifeless via the Nineteen Sixties, that when that it grew to become into in particular white boys making standard a form of music that black human beings had already been making as portion of their lifestyle for an prolonged time. some Eighteen Eighties music gave present day steel a undesirable call considering that they had new studio technologies and in the commencing up on occasion they actually overused it. on occasion they nevertheless do, they overproduce the data, yet they do look to have toned it down slightly and there are some stable manufacturers who understand they don't could desire to place an effect down on each factor, in basic terms using fact they have distinctive tracks and sound consequences at their disposal. i'm not a purist in spite of the undeniable fact that using fact I do like some pop and that i hate pretentious attitudes via musicians who think of they're extra useful than a pop artist. each technology there is in many circumstances somebody who starts off out as a pop artist and lands up starting to be respected and having durability. i will pay attention to easily a sprint each little thing if it particularly is stable. There are some artists immediately who're extra standard than they could desire to be using fact of autotune tricks and their music movies, yet there remains some skills in case you seek for it.

Can I interject with an 80s band? -- Loverboy. They sucked on all instruments and vocals, but their headbands sure looked sharp.

Just about any metal band. I'm sorry, but instrument wise, they really have no talent or unique traits...well, except the drummer with a double bass.
