The turkey is thankful to be our main course. Because of him, we don't starve on Thanksgiving. Also, Thanksgiving made the turkey famous. Without turkey day, the turkey probably would become just a dirty old bird that ran wild.

If it was raised in cage at a factory farm instead of being free-range, it's probably thankful that it's miserable existence is over. Ugh, the way a lot of poultry are raised is just plain cruel.

Or, if the turkey had good karma, maybe it's thankful that it lived a healthy life out in the yard, interacting normally with other turkeys, was granted a swift and painless death, and was eaten by people who appreciated its contribution to the circle of life.

but then again, it's just a Turkey:)

That he will no longer have to live in a polluted over crowed pen of filth. That he will no longer have to endure steroid shots to make him grow faster. In general he can be thankful for a better life after death than he has here.
