I'm not sure if you wanted a manual for a 1955 truck or car but I found both. The link below goes to a website where you can buy the "Factory Original" repair and shop manuals for both 1055 cars and trucks on 1 CD ROM.

even as think about a C6 transmission, they are quite somewhat bullet information, yet use fairly some engine ability to operate the internals. in case you do not ideas shifting a guide trans, a late kind 5 % would get you a minimum of two -3 extra mpg. yet another basic change will be to drop in some taller gears, 3.0 to a million is about perfect for an automatic and a couple of.seventy 5 to a million for a guide. I had a 2 wd seventy 9 with a 351m and C6, the perfect mileage I were given became 14 on the line. If it were mine, i'd evaluate swapping in a later kind gas injected 302 with an aod trans. each and every thing you want contained in the wiring & gas branch should be accessible aftermarket.

Call around your local auto parts stores.Inquire about "parts &
availability" (key words--makes you sound more professional)
for a '55 Ford whatever.
The purchase of a parts manual can turn into a real headache
for you as these manuals are changed or revised periodically &
sometimes faster than you can "kiss a duck."
Part numbers change & venders come & go.
I think you can see where I'm going here.
One of your local Ford dealerships should be able help you out.
