I have several books on miniatures but none that are small enough for your needs. I suggest a good graphics program like photoshop. You can scan pictures in at a small size and reduce them even more. You could also texturise them to look like canvas or even charcoal and chalk drawings. This would also be a good way of handling the stage settings. I know a train enthusiast who uses the technique. His stone walls are really good and because all he has done is reduce the size they never look out of proportion. Hope this is of some help.

If you happen to have photo/image editing program, like Photoshop, Picture It!, Paint, or some of the other ones available you can easily do this to the exact dimensions which you wish. Then, you can print them out and put them into your tiny frames.
You can even do the same thing in MS Word, but your final product won't be as perfect.

Scan a pic that you want, reuce the size of it and print it. I have used that method to make framed pictures, wallpaper and backgrounds for a doll's house...;

You must have a photo album on your PC, if so go to personal
Library then photos, and there will be a thumbnail for identity
purposes, drag this to desktop and you have it. In case you
loose the original, some do others don‘t, duplicate the original
in your album.

Have you thought of scanning or photographing a normal picture, and making a reduced size print with your computer and printer.
Good luck

Have fun making your entire family and friends feel small!
PS I have nothing to do with the publishers, I just think it fits the job in hand. There are other programs that do the same thing.
