OMG do not listen to melissa! the pull out method is the easiest way to screw up your life and get pregnant on accident. Condoms work great if you use them properly (i.e. get all the air out and roll them tight). Spermicides are probably a lot more effective than the sponge and a lot less messy.

I don't like either one of what you suggested. I use the pill. But if I was to be single again and go with a guy for the first time, I would use condoms with spermicide to protect from STD's.

i was the same as melissa, my b/f and i used the "pull out" method for 3 yrs that we've been together and I didnt become pregnant until we decided we wanted a child and he went in me. Use whatever you think is safest for you.

I reccomend the "pull out" method. It worked for me for 7 years. Then when he did do his business to try and make a baby it worked the 1st month. The pull out method NEVER got me pregnant that whole time!!!

If you are not married and not wanting to get pregnant or HIV/AIDS or STDs use absolutely everything and anything you can at the same time.
