I am thinking about purchasing one of these phones through T-Mobile and don't know a lot about either of them. (I haven't had a chance to research yet) I thought I would put this out there and see what any one has to say.

It depends on what you are wanting to do with the phone. If you are planning on primarily business applications, I would suggest the Blackberry. Otherwise, go with the sidekick.

I've never heard of the Sidekick before. Googled it and I must say that it's looks a bit flaky...

However, I can say that I've had a Blackberry 7130 for about 6 months now (with the BES server) and I'M IN LOOOOOVE! It is absolutely the best device created so far.

It's stable, easy to use, and it's not "a tool over Windows CE". The first time you use it, you'll understand that it was well thought out. From the belt clip that turn off the screen, to the flashing light that tells you you have messages without even ringing, it's a great tool.

However, the BB is not for everyone. First thing, it's expensive. The monthly bills bill can get a bit high. Also, it's currently quite week on multimedia stuff (but with the Perl, it's getting resolved).

But, if you're planning on using it at the business (and your business pays for it) AND you buy the BES, then WOW, real-time synchronization with Outlook! Anywhere in the World! It's just superb.

Hope this helps!
