I'm not even going to watch it but I agree 100 %
People these days are so irresponsible; I understand
the few people that breed dogs as a hobby or to earn
some extra cash [ my neighbor does this; but she is only
breeding 3 times then getting her fixed so she stays healthy ]
People dont think about things; they dont do research on the
pets they think they want oh so badly & they either mistreat
them or just let them go on the streets where they start to
reproduce like crazy until they are taken by animal control &
then usually killed.
Basicall the bottem line is : If your really care that much about your pet then you'll get it fixed. Thousands of animals die every single day due to irresponsible owners now fixing their pets & then the animal getting lose. Yeah; your going to spend a bit of money but if you really care about whats happening in the world today & all the mistreated homeless sick animals; then do it. Plus side if you have a cat : no more mewing like crazy, more then likley no more spraying; & the animal is also less likley to wander off to find a female.
& one more thing : If you are interested in getting a pet; dont go to pet stores. Animal Shelters have the best dogs; & it doesnt have to be a puppy I gaurantee that you will find a wonderful animal at your local shelter; that's where we get all our dogs. Just because they are in the pound doesnt mean that they were bad; it simply means that they were not treated correctly & ended up in there some how. Give them a chance; you will leave there with a loving friend & personal gratification that you just helped to save a life ontop of earning a friend. Plus; our animal shelter gives you a voucher for getting your pet fixed & it's free.

Its hard to watch that video even though I help put animals to sleep everyday. Some of them are old and sick and need to be out to sleep and some there isn't anything wrong with then people just want to control the population. As horrible as it is to see animals suffer it is far worse to see children suffer, which you know happens and its not their fault. We as a human race have over populated ourselves how will we even learn to care enough not to over populate mans best friend? At our office we spay and neuter at least 6 animals a day and we book surgeries 2 months in advance. We charge under 100 for any of our surgeries and you would think that we would catch up but we never do. I always think that if a family has a dog for its entire lifetime, about 12 years and they have it fixed shouldn't we be seeing some indication that there aren't as many animals to fix, but we don't and its sad. But no matter how sad and cruel it continues...

Most (smart) people breed to better a specific breed,to make more conformationally correct animals for exhibition, and to offer an animal with as few health difficulties as possible for sale.I understand that animals are being killed in shelters, etc, but the majority of the dogs sold from reputable breeders don't go to shelters.Note that I said most, not all. This is not the case with all breeders, some are bad, breed for money, and don't care about the animals. This is where the problem lies. Not all breeders are bad,all the breeders I know breed excellent animals, screen homes before they're sold, and ask for the animal to be sold back to them before they give it to a shelter,or sell it to someone else.

I absolutely agree with you, and I think it's fantastic how most of your pets were from shelters/rescues. There are so many pets living in shelters and carelessly not spayed/neutered by their owners. It's upsetting.
