Do you help clean up after Thanksgiving dinner or do you sit on the couch?

I'll be in the kitchen with the girls.

I usually help a little bit.. but this is my first year out of my moms house, so I am probably going to do most of the cleaning (if not all).. but i dont mind though.. i like my house to be clean as possible all the time.

I always ask the hostess if I can pitch in before and after the meal. Most of the time, they say no and tell me to go relax. Occassionally, I'll be given a little task like putting away left-overs. That way, there can be NO misunderstandings or hard-feelings because you offered to help. :)

I think everyone should help get it done it is a lot of hard work if you have to do all the cooking plus cleanup .....And to all ladies if you go to someones house and they cook help clean up don't sit or leave that is rude and you will be talked about It is tradition

I'm having dinner at my mom's so of course I always help clean up afterwards. And while I'm cleaning, I talk real loud about all the lazy _ss people who come over to eat and make a mess and don't help clean afterwards. LOL

I would sit in the couch cleaning is for the women plus they can chat while cleaning

I'm the dude making it all...someone else will have the pleasure of cleaning it all up. I'll hopefully be too intoxicated to handle the dishwasher...well, that's the plan anyway.

I do the cleaning up...but this year my hubby will help out more with the clean up. And I will be very happy.

If I go to someone's house I always help clean up. When they come to my house they all pitch in and clean up.
