Why do people keep argueing if its a human life?
I don’t care if your for or against abortion but if you passed any health or biology classes you know that when the sperm and egg get together, there are now 46 chromosomes... the same exact 46 chromosomes that make us human and nothing else.
I know you can make the argument of how developed it is every couple of weeks but the whole is it human, a parasite, or same as cancer cells thing is getting annoying bc it is a obviously a human, its just at a young stage.

i said i dont care about weather you like abortion or not. the annoyance is with peole arguing over something that is completely proven with no room for error.

Everyone knows this they just don't care. Babies don't count anymore, but I bet your *** would end up in prison if you killed animal fetuses on a regular basis.

The abortion debate has always been between the LEGAL definition of a person and the MORAL definition of a person. LEGALLY you are not a person until after you are born. (You cannot get a Social Security Number, Life insurance, or be claimed as a tax deduction until after the birth.) Scientifically, the fertilized egg is a human zygote. It could never grow to be anything else.
The entire pro-life, anti-abortion campaign is to create more and more laws that give rights to the unborn child. Roe-vs-Wade made abortion legal, but only in the first three months after conception. (Before RvW, some states made abortion illegal, some made it legal up to six months.) Now there are laws that allow prosecution for murder if you kill the unborn child. And more laws are on the way.
The answer, of course, is to choose an age, or stage of development, at which the growing fetus gains legal status as a person. But I'm not holding my breath: our government cannot even make a clear distinction on what age constitutes adulthood.

So, a collection of 46 chromosomes is a human being? Do I understand you correctly? So, what about if you got an extra chromosome, like people with Down Syndrome? Are they not "human beings?" Are 46 chromosomes the only thing that make us human? Aren't there other factors involved?
Cancer tumors grow from human cells. They have the exact 46 chromosomes as the healthy cells. Are cancer tumors human life?
What about when a guy masturbates? Literally millions of sperm are lost, each containing human chromosomes, the possibility of life. Should this be considered murder?

If you honestly think an impregnated egg cell is the same as a human, you need to go back and re-take those biology classes. There are so many differences, just saying that they both have 46 chromosomes is like saying dogs are the same as cows because they both have 4 legs. An embryo can't survive outside the womb, just like a human can't survive inside a womb.
Edit: And just for fun (in relation to the previous answer): A dog is a mammal pet, a mammal pet is kept with humans and not roaming freely, a mammal pet kept around humans can also be slaughtered for food, a cow is slaughtered for food. A dog is a cow, same thing, different name.

Abortion is legal, I know this, but there are several things that I don't get about it....
1. Why is it that the father of the child has not say....is it only the fathers child once it is born....and if that is the case....why do we make fathers go back and pay for expences during the pregnancy....and why do we allow a mother to give up a child and not a dad....don't get me wrong...I don't like abortion and I hate sperm donors who refuse to be fathers to the children they make...but still...?
2. There are many states that have laws, or that are trying to get laws allowing people to be charged with assult or even murder if the mother is assulted resulting in the injury or dealth of the fetus....is an unborn child only considered a child at certain times or when we feel like it?

Oh, I think we agree it is a human life. It is human because it is not some other species, and it is a life because we can see that it is only dead once it is removed from its mother.
The question is whether or not it is a PERSON, and that's because we do not agree on a definition of a person. For those who believe in souls, then it is dependent on when you believe the soul "develops" and/or "takes up residence" in the body. For those who believe that happens at conception, the killing of a fetus may be the same as the killing of a born child. But to those who believe the soul enters the body quite a bit later, this is a different matter.
It really does come down to what you believe is true about being human. And I don't think we can expect to always agree on that.

Well, I for one am not going to argue that it is not a life after conception. But with out a doubt it will not survive with our live support. As such we have the right to discontinue life support.
I will state that the only interest the anti-choice people have in promoting anti-abortion legislation is to have legal enforcement of religious doctrine in the form of theocratic law.

If you think a fertilized cell is a baby then your biology teachers have failed you. I agree that a second trimester fetus is a baby. But to see a fertilized egg and call it a baby, I just can't. I did pass high school and had Biology Honors in my freshman year.

Yes a fetus is a human life. But sometimes human beings kill other human beings in order to preserve their way of life. Some people are more prepared than others to make these kinds of decisions and live with them afterward.

Why ask the question if you have already decided what you will or will not accept as an answer. The links to the Roe decision are below. Should you wish to overturn that decision, I wish you good luck; it has been upheld twice.
