Im planning on traveling to Europe over the summer and I want to know if the laptop will be affected by the airports metal detectors. Im afraid that it could erase info on my hard drive or damage parts of the computer.

My husband travels weekly for his job and has never experienced any problems with metal detectors and his laptop. He has been traveling like this for 3+ years.
