DON'T WATCH while they actually give you the needle. And like someone else said, if you move around it will hurt because the needle is moving around with you. If you stay still it is only a slight sting. Have you ever seen a baby get a needle? They will not have any idea what is about to happen and the shot itself is so quick that it is over with before the baby can move. The baby will be a bit shocked by the quick sting but any pain is so small and passes so quickly that many babies don't even cry. Hope this helps. Good Luck

Shots don't hurt if you don't think about them. If you focus on the needle you are intensely concentrating on the feeling of the needle piercing the body. What I do is think of something else that will take your mind away for a moment. Then you'd be surprised that you may not even feel it!!! Maybe like an insect bit at the most but mostly they will remind you to leave and you will be like a jerk who doesn't know that its over cos u cant hardly feel it. hehe Just chill out.
If you are a Christian then why not offer up this suffering out of love for our Savior Jesus who died to save us all. Trust me it has the same effect (you dont feel a thing).
Hope this helps.

Just try to stay calm while receiving a shot. Perhaps when you liked shots someone gave you one and they did it wrong and it hurt. So now you are afraid. I was like that to as a girl i LOVED them i never knew why. I used to beg for them. Now that I'm older they are ok, but i get a little antsy. Oh maybe cause when were kids were fearless and as we get older we lean to be afraid.

i had the same problem and i became a medic in the army just a few months ago. just realize that that needle is very tiny, it's not going to feel great but in the end its going to help you, and it shouldn't be a big deal unless you get shots everday and in that case you'll get used to it,
PS i used to pass out so count yourself lucky for not waking up in unfamiliar space with a crowd standing around you

Stop fighting them! With the needle in, when you move around, it causes the needle to cut around inside your arm. Like the old "twist the knife" trick, you know, stab them and then twist the knife. Could this be it?
