Probably. We buy all of our meat and poultry from local farms that have grass fed beef and free range poultry. The turkeys are great!

i waitress at a chicken restaurant and i was told that those chickens NEVER eat food. EVER. they r given hormones and slaughtered at 6 months of age...someone else told me 6 weeks so im not sure which, but they are small. a famous fried chicken restaurant allegedly has the beaks of the chickens removed so they cannot eat and the chickens try to peck at the ground but in vain. i never eat at the restaurant i work at or the famous fried chicken restaurant anymore. its my opinion that not letting an animal eat is inhumane. the turkey we will be having at my familys home is a free range which costs twice as much as the standard butterball that you buy from the store. if the butterball and those like them do not have hormones etc added, i bet it would say that on the packaging, but does it??

I believe the basic "Butterball" turkeys you find in the supermarket are chemically fed. But you can get a naturally fed bird, usually through a butcher.

Probably fed hormones to grow bigger faster and antibiotics. But I guess maybe free range or organic could be the way to go.
