plagiarism...... is a consequence from empirical psychology...you see they believe that humans are not born with any knowledge (like a clean slate) whilst the opposition are the rationanlists that believe that humans have innate knowledge that we are born with and develop all other knowledge from our senses (deeper than smelling touching hearing mind you...) therefore regardless of what side you choose all teaching institutions are empiricists and your only defence is to "REFERENCE"...Rewriting the paragraph in your own words will never mean the same.....think abouth it they were priming you since you were eight and did that first project on an animal, country or the solar system...

Well, everyone else seems to have answered your question, but just one thing....DON'T do it...cos if you are doing a degree, you can lose the marks for the piece..i.e.....be given zero for the piece....or...if you plagiarize someone "famous"...you could end up in court..

hey its when you copy someone Else's work/ words word for word without even altering them and this can get you in trouble and you can get sued because of it, loads of people take it very seriously because they put alot of hard work into the writing and plagiarism is like taking the mick and cant be bothered trying.
