Think liberals are against religion, when religion is one thing that starts most wars?

Ok. I am not religious, I am spiritual. Religions are violent therefore i don't believe in any. I do believe in god. Conservatives need to realize everyone can lead the kind of life they want to. They don't need to or have a right to make me follow their religious beliefs.

because they're scared. Their own party has tried to scare the pants out of people to get votes and they succeeded...for a while anway. Until about a couple weeks ago when dems took control of the house and senate. Next, the presidency!! I'm conservative but I am also a dem. In fact there are a lot of people like me who don't necessarily agree with republicans but aren't godless liberals like republicans say we are.

Religion does not start wars. Religious intolerance does.

As for the feeling that Libs are anti-religion, I think that the strong drive to limit religious visibility in society is one reason that extreme Cons and Libs are so far apart on the issue. For instance, the drive to remove 'under God' from the Pledge of Allegiance and the 10 Commandments from many gov't buildings are two indicators that Libs want to minimize the observance of religion. Cons want religion to lead us to stronger morality, perhaps at the cost of some personal sacrifice and change. Libs want more social freedom and less judgment and control from establishments like gov't and church. IMHO.

Religion does not start wars. Ideologies do. Ideologies and greed.

By the way, its good to know that the Dixiecrats are still alive
and kicking. I thought Joe Lieberman was the last of the breed.

For those who don't know a Dixiecrat is a conservative Democrat.

First off, you have fallen into the trap where Republicans have kidnapped the word 'conservative'. There are plenty of conservative democrats.

Now to answer the question, two things:
1. They are not real Christians. Jesus would have never condoned the Iraqi war. I call them Bushians, a Bush Christian. A Bushian believes in a selective Bible. That is believing in only portions of it that fit your mentality.
2. They fully know that many democrats are religious. Moving being religious to the Republic party was a ploy to manipulate voters and to get support for the war. That is why we are now seeing a backlash against the Republic party... ppl are waking up to this and getting insulting for being called non-Christian for standing up for what their hearts say is wrong.

1. Liberals DO have a great animus toward organized religion;

2. The fact that religion has been the cause of wars neglects the fact that 100,000,000 million were killed from *atheist* Communists, and it avoids the fact that some religion, specifically the Catholic Church, has done tremendous good for the world,

your question makes no sence. you are stating cons think libs are against religion and then state a negative about religion? Are you saying that you are against religion or are you saying you arent but you dont care that they start wars? Either way I read this I see negative.

Because so many liberals blame religion for most wars, and they are against war. Put 2 and 2 together, it always comes out 4

There are two problems with your question. First, that the majority of those you label as "Conservative" probably aren't. Second, that those you are addressing think at all.
