These are pretty simple questions ... They are VERY straight forward indeed!!

1. Just do what it tells yoiu to do (divide!) and the answer is in feet /s

2 16 oz = 1 lb so 28 oz =?? so 10 lb 28 oz = ??

3. 1 L = ? qt and 12 L = 12 * 1L

4. Maximum = biggest number and minimum = smallest number ... so away you go and numbers get smaller the further they go into the negative range. (Owing $25 means that you have less money than if you are broke ie have no money at all and if you have $2.35 you have more money still)

That should be enough to get you out of trouble BUT I am not doing your homework for you

These problems are about using ratios and reducing fractions.
1. 392 feet per 8 seconds is 392 feet divided by 8 seconds = 49 feet per second.

2. Here you need to know there are 16 ounces in a pound.
28 oz = 1 lb, 12 oz. So 10 lb 28 oz = 11lb 12 oz. You could also express the remainder (12 oz) as a fraction or a decimal. 12 = three fourths of 16, so 12 oz = 3/4 lb, and 11 lb 12 oz = 11 and 3/4 pounds. As a decimal, 3/4 = .75, so 11 lb 12 oz = 11.75 lb.

3. Here you need to know how many quarts are in a liter, so you'll have to look that up. It so happens that google will give you conversions like this if you enter someting like "how many quarts in a liter" and click "Google search." It turns out there are about 1.06 quarts per liter. So you use this ratio to calculate your answer like this:

12 L X (1.06 qt/1 L) = 12.72 qt

4. First simplify sll the fractions:

-36/7=-5.14 or -5 and 1/7, 26/9=2.89 or 2 and 8/9, 5/4=1.25 or 1 and 1/4.
Now, the minimum value is the lowest number, which is -5.14 (-36/7) and the maximum value is the highest number, which is 3.

Do me one favor never smoke or do drug in HS. It is not good. say no to peer pressure :

okay 1: distance = rate * Time
from problem 1. The distance is given to be 32 feet and the time also is given to be 8 sec.
Therefore : Rate= distance/Time
= 392/8sec
=
please use your calculator to divide these two numbers the result will be your ans for Rate . The unit is ft/sec . remenber that !
