Isn't it true that all attractive black women are of a light complexion?

you cant be fat or what they call "full figured" or ashy burnt like Flava Flave. Also the ones i know refrain from wearing weaves.

Why do people insist on asking questions that, by their very tone, imply that certain segments of the population are inferior?

Attractiveness is not judged by the colour of our skin, or the amount of weight we carry on our bones. It doesn't hinge on the size of a woman's breasts or hips, whether she is flat as a boy or curved more than adequately. Nor does it depend on whether we wear the latest weaves or have thin sparse hair.

All attractiveness stems from within. If we are kind and caring individuals with a genuine enjoyment of life, we are attractive. If when we talk with other people, and they can't help but smile because we make them feel good, we are attractive. If we spend time going out of our way to make someone else's day just a little bit easier, we are attractive.

Any need to bring down individuals or groups. To try to make a person hurt for our own enjoyment. To insult people we don't even know, because it makes us feel superior...these are but a few of the traits of unattractive people. Something you seem to have a closer relation to.

I've always maintained that no one is free to judge another person until they are perfect themselves. You obviously don't have the same credo.

I've seen some GORGEOUS very dark-skinned women.
Also, I say the same for "full-figured" women. In fact, I know a lot of people who prefer that body type.

It's not being attractive, I've met many light skinned people who are not pretty, but they are acceptable because they have lighter skin complexion. Being "white" or "lighter" is more acceptable in our society, there isn't too much of a stereotype behind a light skinned black person, than a dark skinned black person.

However, there have been MANY MANY attractive DARK skinned people, they've also been in the game longer that hallie and Alisha. You've got IMAN, Iman is gorgeous and she's a model, but she's a woman who reps every woman of color, she's black, middle eastern, and some other stuff. You've go Naomi Cambell, Tyson Beckford the model, Dinsel Washington, Weslie Snipes, Jamie Foxx, Taye Diggs to name a few.

Also, Hallie Berry and Alisha keyes are not light, they have a medium to dark complexion, people who are light complexted black people are Mariah Carey, Slash from Guns and roses.

As far as Flava Flav, you can't use him to compare! He's a crack head! Seriously, after Public Enemy fell off, he went back to the hood and lost all of his money on his crack sniffing lifestyle! He's on VH1 now, but what does that do? Help his crack habbit? I mean you can't use people like that to compare to more successfully respectable people!

Also, it's the full figured black women who made it ok for people to start eating now. You know when white women saw that black men love women with *** they started eating! So don't hate..I'm not black I'm Indian, and I got a beautiful body, I am full figured, not fat, fat is when your BMI is 27+, and as far as weaves go, from what I remember learning in school (because I paid attention) the French Aristrocrat women were one of the first women to wear wigs and weaves in their hair, and now they want to just call it a black thing..so why are women of EVERY color starting to get extensions??

So before assuming what is attractive, take a look at what is more accepted in our society. We've come a long way from haveing racism and segregation, but they've been replaced by stereotypes. I hope you learned something new here.

That is a really offensive question. Clearly you have never heard the real phrase that Black is Beautiful and more important, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

but i believe a black pretty girl doesnt have to be light skinned.
i think any girl could look beautiful from the way she carries herself. she can have all the looks but if she has a bad personality it's not beautiful at all. now guys who's just looking for *** dont give a **** about girls personalities as long as they look hot.
but being beuatiful means being confident. as long as you know you're beautiful people will see the beauty inside you.

I think women are pretty regardless of skin tone and body shape and I have seen very beautiful women in all skin tones and all body shapes.
