Use a huge, vast kettle, with quite some area for the chook and the fat---and do it outdoors! make certain which you do have a huge stable metallic lid close by in case of a flameup (do not think of you have chose to apply a fireplace extinguisher). And it would in all probability be a stable concept to have somebody interior eyeshot in any respect circumstances, in case (heaven forbid!), something is going incorrect....grease burns are hideously painful. (i'm a nurse.) specific you don't prefer a extreme-high quality roast turkey, or a braised one (they're large in the oven, with 0.5 a bottle of white wine poured over; makes large gravy)?

Put the deep fryer outside and make sure the oil is not all the way up. Place the turkey in slowly. Remember an uncooked turkey going into hot oil it will bubble up. Be careful.

you're deep frying a turkey? bloody hell is there any thing you guys don't dip in liquid lard? don't worry about the cooking killing you, it will be a lot quicker than the heart disease you'll suffer in the long term.....

Do it outside darlin because I've seen the whole pot and bird go up in flames that is uncontrolable. That's the only tip I've got.
