i have been getting spots on my bottom for about 6 months now, i've tried everything, i bath daily and use a body scrub i even use face wash on my bum and oxy 10 but neither have helped i still keep getting them. i also wear cotton knickers. So i dont see why i'm sill getting them. Most of them start of as a red lump and then it gets a yellow head which by then really hurts so i have to pop it to feel comfortable again, doing this i know scars because i have some.
Does anyone else know anything to help, i've got myself some tea tree cream to put on but i dunno if it'll work and is there anything to help with the scars as i've tried tanning beds but its just made them darker.
Any advice will help, apart from going to the doctor cos mine is useless and thinks it's nothing.

I'm really sorry for you and sympathise, I have had this problem before and I never actually found a good cure for it, I always assumed it was because that area didn't get much air so spots accumulate, I think you have tried really hard and because there is no difference I would have a word with your GP I did he gave me some antibiotic cream which I must say did help now I only get the occasional one that goes away has quick as it came. Hope this helps ignore the other ignorant people who think its funny to make silly comments they don't realise that it can be distressing for you and if you are like me I was embarrassed to get undressed in front of my hubby or even wear a thong. xx

Thats the amazing thing about the human body. If you have only been smoking for less than a year (it seems you have been at it hard) then these marks will fade. It might take months but providing that you quit and have no immunodeficiency probs , you should be fine. I smoked hard everyday for about 24 months and walked around with stained fingers and dark circles under my eyes. It has all cleared up...its been 9 nicotine free months. The only part of my vanity that took a hit are my teeth and thats easy to eventually fix (albeit expensive).

Use the tea-tree cream it will help. You can also use lavender oil. These are both "natural" antiseptic remedies.
It may seem odd but washing too much does not help as you are washing away the skins natural oils. The skin then produces more oil which in turn start blocking your pores causing the spots
Sorry but the scars will be with you for life.
Also if you are sitting down a lot on hard chairs/seats this won't help either.

Well for starters stop using any facewashs or any other strong stuff on your bum, stop washing it too vigorously as it destroys normal bacteria on your skin which prevent such infections, is your bum hairy?, if it is some people suffer from folliculitis which is just like you described, Fucidin or flucloxacillin would help, still see your doctor as he may be able to offer you some help if it has persisted for 6 months. never discount people who disagree with you but at times discussing thing with doctor and telling him how its affecting your life he may do something

Always wash your body after you have washed and conditioner your hair because the oil from your hair rinses over your entire body and can give you acne in your back and butt. Also, the conditioner is too rich for most peoples skin and if you don't use a body scrub after it can give you acne. It helps to use a acne treated body wash, I highly recommend Oxy or Phiseo-Derm.
Your body creates oil during the night time so clean your sheets often!!
Good luck.

Hello,

Change body cream or bath soaps ....

You might be allergic to something....

There are various creams you can buy without a prescription....

Tea tree works but i make my own creams i had an out-break once but on my face tea tree even works for most bacterial infections like the one you've discribes i use the 100% its quite expensive though...another one i know ut is neem oil..i am going to say it smells i hate the smell but it is also good as well but i prefer tea tree oil....

If the spots have yellow heads then it is infection and needs treatment with antibiotics, so you will have to see your doctor...;

some good cracks at answering the question... i would just go to another doctor, who could actually diagnose for sure what it is, although the first was probably right
