Have you read the series, "The Mediator" by Meg Cabot. She is a great author. Do you have any other suggestions on good authors for a 12 year old 7th grader?

I am a big fan of Meg Cabot, while I haven't read that series I have read many of her books for adults and The Princess Diaries series. I have 3 nieces in or around the age bracket you mentioned. They liked the rest of Meg Cabot's work (look for The Princess Diaries series, and the 1-800-Where-R-You series by her, as well as many stand alone books by her). Also look for the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series, Stephanie Meyer's books, the Clique series, the Artemis Fowl series, and Sarah Dessen's book.

James Patterson has 3 books out right now that I think would be good for a 7th grader. He has the maximum ride series, and when the wind blows. I've read 2 of the 3 books and I loved them!! Then again I'm 23 lol. Schools have done an entire series of reading lessons based on his book maximum ride. For more info on his books you can check out www.jamespatterson.com

Read the Boston Jane series it has three
different books by author Jennifer L. Holm
they are good books to read full of romance
and adventure.
