In the summer I stopped seeing TV for a week, and I was happy about it, because you break your routine and try new things. Try it and see how you feel after a week. But you cannot cheat, you cannot use the Internet to see what's on TV. Also, don't spend hours answering questions here, because that's cheating again. I'm like you, I love seeing TV, but picture the reality, they are making money and doing exciting things, and you are just sitting there, watching, ONLY watching what the tv stars are doing. Try to find a new way to relax.

If you really have, here are a few: ~~Sci-Fi~~ Star Trek Voyager Star Trek: The Next Generation Star Trek: Deep Space Nine ~~Comedy~~ The Catherine Tate Show ~ Different Sketches Preformed by Tate Harry Hill's TV Burp ~ Harry Hill taking the piss out of this weeks TV. ~Drama/Soaps~~ Eastenders ~ Soap, a good storyline currently. I used to spend a majority of my time either watching TV or on the computer and when started going to my drama class twice a week and when I bought a 12 foot trampoline, I hardly ever watched TV or went on the computer for long periods of time.
Just keep yourself busy but make sure you do a lot of fun stuff!

Unless there's something specific I really want to watch on TV, I'm generally just sitting there, bored out of my mind, and channel surfing. So, I'll typically watch less than 10 hours of TV a week. I suggest inviting a friend over to watch TV with you. That'd prove to be not only relaxing, but also to be a gateway to doing other things.

I suggest, you plan your day.
Have a schedule that will help you see at what time your doing stuff, in your free time you can watch your television, but schedule your time for other things such as a fun hobby, perhaps. : )
