LittleS... Good Evening to you. I am glad you took the time to stop by Yahoo and post this question for us. Many people are not aware of the Mating Dance of the Systeronipia Fly which is quite similar to the Lightening Bugs that inhabit most of the southern part of the United States. However, the family of systeronipia grow quite large in comparison to lightening bugs and some have been measured at as much as five inches across from wing tip to wing tip. These large insects have a brilliant light effect which can pulse or remain steady for some period of time. Both sexes have the illumination capability. It is not unusual at all to find two males courting a single female and that might well explain the triangular shape your friend witnessed. Also, object size in the sky is often quite deceptive at night, and determination of actual length or width depends strongly upon having some point of reference. I think that your friend did not have a good point of reference for comparison purposes and was merely a witness
to a trio of local courting flies. When disturbed these insects can move out of an area at incredible speeds and their normal altitude of flight ranges from ground level to perhaps 1000 - 1500 feet. At those heights they are still highly visable as they wink their under abdomen surfaces on and off. Many children in the area catch them on rainy days and tie strings to them to play with the things as toys in the late evening. Possibly you know some children who have done that also.

UFO's are Unidentified Flying Objects & not aliens. My first guess would be military. Remember that all aliens must follow the same laws of math/physics that we do (it is the same universe). If/when they do come it will not be in a craft the size of a car, it will fill the sky & we will know about it. They will come for a true reason & make contact. They will not go to Nebraska just to make funny circles in corn fields. Seems like an awful waste of their resources.

to be fair.... it could have just been an aeroplane... there are three different places that lights are attached to an aeroplane.... both wings and the tail, if looked at on the correct angle (unfortunate angle for your sis) you can see all the lights at once.... red can be seen as peachy because of the way it is transmogrified in the atmosphere....

hope this helps

Sometimes the boys at the airforce like flying around in their stealth bombers, they are alot of fun and need regular maitenance. Engineers at aeronotics facilities build and test new aircraft all the time, I doubt what you seen was aliens. It could even be a remote control aircraft a engineer built. You never know what the goverment is building so we can sleep safe at night.

How about one of those hang gliders with engine fitted, mono plane?
I've seen a few of those about, no noise you can hear, lights fitted as you described and they certainly seem to hover a lot even though they are moving.

Sounds like one of those 'secret' government spy planes. They are triangular, black, with three coloured lights. Are you over in Norfolk, UK? They used to be based there. I'm not winding you up! Not sinister, just secret.

That's the Tri-Morganians from Delphius 4. They are just out sightseeing and are nothing to worry about. The Grandos from the Elhopherious system on the other hand, if you ever see them, run.

hey! megalightning looks slightly like this, and you may see reflections of light electromagnetic waves. Even if it may be aliens, it is something amazing! You shouldn't be frightened. Talk to other sighters on the internet, and u might find out a bit more!

Yeah - I can see something in the sky through my window right now. There is a light - no, no wait that's turned off and another light along side it has come on. Oh - wait that's gone off and another one has come on. Could it be a...a UFO...?

Oh no, on second thought's I've just realised. I'm not seeing flashing lights in the sky. What I'm actually witnessing is the reflection of my Christmas fairy lights (which I put up yesterday in my room) in my window. It is dark outside afterall.
