I just gave my partner of 4 years, and the father of my child, the option of getting married next year or him getting another Chelsea season ticket, he's had a season ticket for the past 14 years. He chose the season ticket, what should I do or can I do?!

Yes Rachel I was just testing him, it wasn't a serious question I just wanted to know how much I meant to him. I knew he loved Chelsea and I love him loving them. I'm not going to dump him or leave him over this, I just wanted to know what his choice would be.

Piss him off big time by buying yourself a season ticket for either Arsenal, Spurs, West Ham or Millwall!
LOL!

What could you expect?? Dont give men a choice, let them know what is going on, and let them go along with it. Why would he see the urgency to get married when you have been together so long? He may be happy with the way things are and therefore sees his season ticket as more urgent than a marriage. This obviously isnt how us women think, but hey, he is a man. If you dont want to have a hurtful answer next time, then dont give him a choice of something so important and something, which to us is so trivial. Have a talk with him and explain to him that you really want to get married and see how he feels, at the end of the day, if the marriage was so important to you, then this was completely the wrong way to approach it, because, with men, if you fish, you will never get the answer you want.

Hope this helped xx

That's funny ... I didn't even have to open the question to know what he picked ... lol ... he just sounds like a true fan that's all ... 14 years is a long time to love a football team ... season tickets must cost a lot though - and every year ... I'd probably just sit down and talk to him about the wedding & how we could work everything out ... I'm sure there's a way ... it sounds like you two have a good sense of humor & talk a lot ... good luck with the wedding ... remember too many choices clutters the mind ... !

Oh you silly girl - never offer a Chelsea fan the option of a Season ticket against anything - the ticket will always win. I wouldnt take it personally - just the way it is. xxxx

A puck bunny for a month wouldn't be so bad if I could get season tickets!

I'd be disgusted if I were you - I dump his sorry *** immediately - imagine a Chelsea season ticket over marrying you - now if it were an Arsenal season ticket.....that's a different story altogether!!!!

Dear Sucks,

Looks like you got an answer you don't like. I wouldn't like it, either. What you should do is find someone else. You now know where you rate with him. Unfortunately, it isn't very high. Once you are gone, take him to court for child support. You'll need it. Let him see if he can afford a season ticket next year.

Good luck, hon. Hope you've learned a bit more about how to choose a man. Oh, need I say it? Don't buy him the ticket, either. Use the money to leave.

First off that is BS

Its a big tradition for him, and second if you gave the ultimatum , stick to it.

I would tell him that ok you have your tickets good for you, and everyday pack a box full of clothes ect.. so he can see you moving out.

Then when he asks you or mentions it say point blank, I am leaving because you don't want to get married. An I do.

If your holding out for a big wedding , then you are wrong.

If he says he agrees to marry you then do it, and plan something small. tell everyone they are welcome to come but they have to pay there own way because you can't afford it.

The point is that if your wanting a ring, and stuff but he doesn't get it , well its crap, if he wants to marry you and can't honestly afford to propose the right way tell him you would accept if he asks you to marry him, and if he doesn't

The start looking, call realtors, and pack up one box a day.
and really move out ,

and tell him if he loves you then he'd marry you, and if he doesn't then he doesn't love you and its time to move on for the sake of your child, and move on,

And find some one new.

Good luck

Does that mean he prefers Chelsea football team over you ? Most of the players are married already, but I'm sure that if he asked nicely, he could have a shower with the boys after the match.
