It depends entirely only the way you percieve happiness. Which happiness is worth more to you
1. Physicall happiness
2. Intellectual happiness

This is an excellent exapmple of how these two differ. Most people would agree that meat, when well cooked tastes great. Your taste buds enjoy it and you thus satify your hunger. It is often high in protein so you dont have to eat to much of it to feel full. It leaves you physically happy.

Where as as you are taking away a life this could be said to be the wrong thing to do. It may make you feel guilt and the knowledge of how it is made (battery farms) seems immoral and thus causes you to eat veg. At the end of eating a nice salad your physical being may not be as fullfilled but you feel morally correct. No life has been lost by your eating of salad and no pain has come to animals either. This plant has no brain and therefore feels no pain thus when it was uprooted it had no idea what was happening. No pain and no death (as such) has come from eating veg.

So it all depends on the way you balance your feelings of happiness. By eating meat your physical being is happy but by eating salad your brain is intellectually happy. Both can insight feelings of pleasure and both can bring fourth happiness. Therefor if you believe that whatever gives the most happiness to the most people is the right decision you must ask people which is better. Being physically happy or being intellectually happy. That is of course if you believe that which brings happiness to people is always the right thing to do.

Sometimes I feel plants have more feelings than animals. Think about it. However, we were designed to be the top of the food chain. Did you know that a lion or a dog cannot live on plants alone. So if you believe in God and nature, there is nothing wrong with eating meat. Also, today animals are killed in the most humanly possible way.

I assume you dont eat any animal that is made out of meat cos that is not what makes them edible.
Otherwise I think it is not wrong to eat animals. Each and everything was made for a purpose. Some animals can be our food. And in the jungle forexample some animals have to survive on other animals, birds will eat worms and fruit etc. so I think each creature serves its purpose be it plant or animal.

Well humans are also made out of meat, and I'm told we taste like chicken, but eating humans is wrong because that is cannibalism. So eating animals isn't really wrong its just nature, as like lions eat other animals to stay alive so do we.....some people think its wrong because of the the way they are killed...some people just dont want to eat animals....

I'm a carnivore so i eat meat, but i dont approve if the animal suffers when it is killed thats why im also a member of PETA.

Animals are not made of meat, we give the bits we eat of them the name "meat". It's actually the animals muscles that we are eating. Man is an omnivore which is why we have canine teeth.

Yes of course animals are "Meat" as are Human,s -- what do you want us to do eat each other instead ? I thought we gave that up a while ago .

You're made out of meat, too, dufus.

Many people consider it wrong for humans to eat meat because:
1) It is unnecessary for us to eat meat to live (some would say unhealthy even).
2) If you kill something unnecessarily, that qualifies as "murder."
3) Ergo, "Meat is murder."

It's OK to eat them. It's the killing of them that is problematic.
In the wild they are given a fair chance at the catch me if you can game first. In "civilization" we just put them in a pen as babies and they never get to laugh and play or have any friends, or see their moms and dads. They just get strung up one day and whacked on the head and it's lights out, that's all she wrote, sayonara, hasta la vista, chop-chop, meat, gelatin and shoe leather.
